Structure fire causes road closures in northern Vigo Co.

UPDATE: Deputy Fire Chief Bryan Mount with Otter Creek Fire Department said that no one was home at the time of the fire. Crews knocked down the flames within two hours, and no injuries were reported. It was unclear if the structure was a complete loss, or what the cause was.

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– A structure fire in northern Vigo County has caused first responders to ask residents to avoid the area.

In a Facebook Post, the Otter Creek Fire Department asked drivers to avoid Rosedale Road between Grant Street and Park Avenue, which is near the Markle Mill Dam.
