TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Ivy Tech Foundation kicked off the second annual Ivy Tech Day on Tuesday.
It’s the college’s second annual Day of Giving designed to help students prepare for graduation. Tuesday’s online fundraising event aims to generate resources and create opportunities for students, studying at Terre Haute/Greencastle.
Ali Kruger is the Assistant Director of Development and Marketing at Ivy Tech and she explained more about what makes Ivy Tech Day so important for students.
“The support that is given today is going to go towards students by building resources, building opportunities, and breaking down barriers so that students can attend college and chase after their goals,” Kruger said.
As of Tuesday afternoon, $275,173 dollars has been raised, with 2,298 donations made.
There are also matching grant opportunities available and those interested in getting involved have until midnight to give.
