VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vincennes University Conservation Law students will participate in the 24-hour Green Mile Challenge. This is when students put their physical and mental endurance knowledge to the test.
Students engaged in a full day of real-world scenarios, land navigation and wilderness survival training. The challenge started today with a fitness assessment and a water survival training.
Students also did a mock search and rescue operation in the overnight hours. The challenge is an opportunity for students to develop resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills.
“Really give the students a push to see if they can actually go that non-stop, that 24 hours with very little downtime. But I want them to just keep moving and moving all the way through. And then in the morning it’s going to be an absolute success story that they we’re able to actually accomplish this,” Vincennes University Conservation Law Enforcement Program Chair Eric Doane said.
